About me: Personally
I’ve lived in Tallahassee all of my adult life and love being part of such a vibrant, connected community. Tallahassee feels both welcoming and deeply rooted to me. I love it here.
I am a mom, which is my favorite job of all. My two sons, Luke and Drew, keep me grounded, joyful, and always moving. They are both active in school and sports, and watching them grow into young men has been one of the greatest privileges of my life.
In addition to being a mother, I am also a widow. My husband, Jimbo Jackson, who served as both a beloved school principal and the Leon County Commissioner for District 2, passed away in 2022. Losing him deeply shaped my perspective on the importance of each day, caring for the people we love, and ensuring that our financial affairs are in order.
Outside of work, I spend most of my time with my boys, our dog Jolene, and the circle of friends who feel like family. I love staying active, whether it’s hiking local trails, practicing hot yoga, strength training, or challenging myself with new goals like running a race or working on rock climbing. I’m an avid reader and currently serve on the Leon County Library Advisory Board, which allows me to stay connected to literacy, learning, and the community I’ve always cared deeply about.
Faith, personal growth, and alignment are core values for me. I also enjoy baking, sewing, journaling, and finding small ways each day to appreciate the present moment.
About Me: Professionally
My career began in education, where I spent many years as a teacher and school principal. I love teaching and learning. I also had the privilege of coaching school principals, district leadership, and state departments of education across the country in their school improvement efforts. What I loved most about that work, helping people set goals, feel seen, and build confidence, eventually inspired me to transition into financial planning.
Today, I bring my background in leadership, organization, coaching, and communication into a new setting, where I help individuals and families make thoughtful financial decisions, build plans that reflect their values, and feel secure about their future. My passion for teaching remains at the heart of what I do, just with a different focus.
I believe financial planning should be personal, clear, and empowering. I am committed to continual learning, staying aligned with research and best practices, and building long-term relationships with the people I serve. I see myself as an educator and a resource for my clients. I feel, the more knowledge my clients have, the more empowered and confident they feel about achieving those goals.
