About me: Personally

My wife, Sarah, and I have been married since 2006 and love living in the community of Tallahassee. Sarah graduated from the FSU College of Law and spent many years with the Florida Department of Elder Affairs where she served as the State Legal Services Developer. She is currently an Elder Law and Estate Planning Attorney with Waldoch and McConaughhay, p.a. Her career has been shaped by a desire to make legal representation and information available to some of our state's most vulnerable residents.

We have two daughters: Caroline (15) and Allison (13) who bring us joy and constant opportunities for growth. They both currently are very involved in sports and activities at school (cross country, cheerleading, basketball, track, Beta club, and National Honors Society). They are in 10th and 7th grade at Community Leadership Academy.

I spend most of my time away from the office engaging with my family and spending time on the bike/road (I am an avid cyclist & runner). I began running in 2010 and have not stopped since. I enjoy competitive running and am always trying to gear up for the next event. I've been fortunate to run events ranging from 5k to an ultramarathon. I've recently taken up the biking and rowing craze as my home gym continues to grow and evolve!

About Me: Professionally

I've worked as a financial planner since graduating from The Florida State University's College of Business with degrees in Finance and Management. While in the industry, I have also pursued additional education and designations in order to stay on the cutting edge of research and information for my clients.

I am a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™, Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC®), Wealth Management Certified Professional (WMCP®), Retirement Income Certified Professional (RICP®), and a Chartered Advisor for Senior Living (CASL®). These designations allow me to serve my clients in their planning needs no matter their stage of life.

I have been, and continue to be, involved with many organizations throughout my career in an attempt to serve the community to the best of my abilities.

Some of the organizations that I currently work with are:

  • Tallahassee Senior Center (providing financial counseling)

  • Four Oaks Community Church (deacon and financial counseling)

Some of the organizations that I have worked with in the past are:

  • Florida State University's Center for Academic and Professional Development (CFP® faculty member)

  • The Florida State University College of Business (establishing and leading the Recent Alumni Board)

  • Lone Star Financial Education (CFP® faculty member)

  • Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace University (class coordinator)

  • The Coalition on Aging (participant)
